ORIENTATION FOR ESPA RENTERS

Liability Waiver

This is just a friendly reminder that a Liability Waiver and Contract was signed when you registered for an online account. When you click the box labeled “I agree with the above terms,” you are legally agreeing to the terms listed. The Liability Waiver and Contract can be reviewed here.

Studio Expectations

• Please do not play loud music. We love our neighbors!

• Please refrain from touching the white studio walls.

• Please use integrity and book the space only for your designated rental type.

• Please leave the studio clean.

• Please rehome any barres, chairs, mats, etc. that were moved.

• Leave promptly after your rental.

• Shoe Policy: Please wear footwear that protects our dance floors and our fellow dance community members who use it for floorwork and barefoot work. High heels must be worn with heel protectors. Street shoes must be fully wiped down to remove all dust, dirt, rocks, and glass particles. Spiked shoes and tap shoes are not permitted on the studio dance floor.

• No fragrant trash (food). Please throw it in the dumpster located in the parking lot.

• No smoking whatsoever in the building or within 30ft of any entrance.

• No burning anything of any kind. No incense, no candles, etc.

• No glitter/sequins/confetti/feathers.

• No tape/paint and no props left behind, etc.

• Please wait in the hallway or lobby area if there is another rental in session. If there is a discrepancy, please contact our Studio Manager rather than addressing the renter directly.

• Lost & Found will be donated to a charity of our choice every two weeks. 

• No pets allowed without prior written consent of an ESPA representative.

• No hazardous, illegal, or negligent practices, activities, or substances.

• No unaccompanied minors. ESPA has a strict policy on unaccompanied minors. Children are not, under any circumstance, permitted to roam the space without adult supervision. If children are uncomfortable being quiet and courteous during their time at ESPA, an ESPA team member may ask the parent and their children to leave the premises. Renters may at their discretion allow parents and children into the studio or not during their classes/rehearsals/events; however, ESPA maintains this policy at all times in all studios and in all common areas. ESPA assumes no liability for any children in the space.

Parking

  We are located where Springdale and Airport meet, behind Austin Bouldering Project, Bambino, and East Side Paddle Club, just across the hall from Ground Floor Theatre. You can park (free) in our parking lot.

  Enter the parking lot near Black Feathers Vintage and drive around to the back of the building. Head up the stairs towards Ground Floor Theatre. Make a right and walk past Kore Kollective Pilates studio. We are next door to Kore Kollective at the end of the hall.

Studio Access

Enter the studio through the main lobby glass doors. Follow the instructions below.

• To UNLOCK: ​On the keypad, press ​C237X and turn to the left. (See the video at the bottom of this page.)

Checkout Instructions - IMPORTANT!

• TURN OFF everything when you leave.

• Please return ALL THREE THERMOSTATS to 77 degrees (A/C) or 70 degrees (Heat), fan on Auto! There is one thermostat in Studio2, and there are two thermostats in Studio1.

• Be sure to LOCK ALL SIX DOORS behind you when you leave.

• There are 6 Doors Total. Please be sure to lock the back door to the bathroom hallway, and the Lobby double doors.

• Please do not exit through the double doors in Studio 1.

• IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT THE LOBBY DOUBLE-DOORS! When you lock the lobby double-doors, please ensure the left door is secured. Both flush-bolts (one at the top and one at he bottom) need to be fully engaged with the door frame, keeping the left door securely closed (see the schematic below!). To lock the right-side lobby door, turn the knob to the right (DO NOT ENTER THE CODE AGAIN!)​. Twist the knob a couple times, then give the door a pull to make sure that it's really locked.
